These song lyrics are from a cool daring song that was released for air play in 1978, but this  song didn't rocket the band 'The Police' into stardom until it was re-released in 1979.

This song was played on radio stations in upstate NY, but it was banned from air play in the UK because of the lyrics being about a prostitute... Sad, but true.

I hope that you will enjoy this version of the song. It differs a little bit from the recorded version, but I thought that it still sounded cool.

Here Comes The Night

When Nick Gilder's song 'Here Comes The Night' was played on the Radio for the first time in 1978, the song only made it to #44 on the U.S. charts, but the song did better on the Canadian charts climbing as high as #21.

If you have never heard of this song it might be because it didn't get as much radio airplay as his #1 hit 'Hot Child In The City' had gotten, during the same year.

Walk On The Wild Side

I am not afraid to say that I sometimes like music because of its cool 'out of the ordinary' lyrics, which will make others say, "Hmmmmmmm". I also like this song for the music, which makes it an even cooler song to listen to.

Lou Reed's song "Walk On The Wild Side", was recorded in 1972 on an album that was produced by David Bowie.

This is a controversial song that is about transgender prostitutes, oral sex, and drugs. Something that is more out in the open now, than it was back in the early 70's, which makes me think that Lou Reed was a person born ahead of his time.

You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth

When I was 15 years old I met someone who would become my best friend, up until she married my older brother. We had become inseparable, during that time when we were best friends, and that was because we had so much in common.

We would often pass the time away by playing records on my front porch which was located on the second floor. One of the albums that we played was Bat Out Of Hell. This album sounded so cool that we practically learned all of the songs lyrics, except for the Bat out of hell song, just because it was a bit gory for teens our age to want to sing along with it.

One of mine and my best friend's fave songs from the album was, "You took the words right out of my mouth."

I actually saw Meatloaf perform on Television shortly after this album was released and I was surprised to see how big of a person he actually was. My first thought was,"I hope that he doesn't pass out until after he sang his last song." Yeah I know, but he had big floor fans blowing on him, but yet he was still sweating profoundly.
