I thought that this song was kind of cool sounding, when I first heard it, even though the lyrics seem to be a bit negative. Keeping in mind that when this song came out, I was not even a teenager yet, it is no surprise that I would like the music part of the song, more than the lyrics, at that time.
I hope that this song will bring back some cool memories for you, back when things seemed a lot less hectic, just because some of us weren't adults yet, when this song started playing on the radio.
This song appeared on the top 10 charts in 1971. As far as I can tell this song was his only top 10 hit, which would mean that this song falls into the one hit wonder category.
