Another unscensored song from the 70's

This band may not have been from America, but they were a totally rocking Scottish band, and this song was cool, because it actually played on the radio, uncensored.
I use to listen to a Canadian FM radio station, chez (Shay) 106, I stand corrected, when I was a teenager, and that is where I heard this song play, without any bleeps, bells, or whistles.

The Immigrant song totally rocked

While most of the teen age girls were listening to the softer side of rock, I was rocking out to the Immigrant song, which was on the Led Zeppelin III album. I didn't hear this song play until I was somewhere around 14 years old, but the album was released in October 5th, 1970.
Yet again, another cool 45 record, found amongst the piles and piles of 45's that my older brother, was lucky enough to receive, from that ceramic guy.

Everythings going to be alright now

This song is one of those songs with cool vocals and cool music. I remember when I first heard it on a 45.
My older brother was lucky enough to make friends with a local ceramics shop owner, who decided to give him a bunch of 45's, and when I say a bunch, I mean stacks and stacks.
This record was played a lot by me. I don't know about you, but I think that my generation was one of the best, when it came to 70's rock music, when compared with 60's rock music.
I hope that I am not starting a generational rock music argument here, but I stand by my thoughts about it. Yes, I know there were some note worthy rock bands in the 60's, but when the 70's rolled in, with the exception of disco, the rock music was unique, bold, and just plain rockin'.

The yellow see thru 45

I was 11 years old, when my older brother got the 45 record of the Grand Funk (Railroad) song, "Were an American band", and it wasn't your every day average looking 45, It was yellow and see threw. The original single was released on gold transparent vinyl. Tragically it didn't survive.
Today I wonder how many people actually got to own one of those yellow 45's. I am sure that more people owned the album instead. I am not completely sure what the song on the B side was, but for some reason, I keep thinking that it was, "Walk like a man", not to be confused with Frankie Valli's "Walk like a man" song. Grand funk's song was way more rocking.

Dirty Deeds

There was a certain coolness, which you could feel, when you were hanging out with your friends, and listening to this kind of music. This song came out in 1976, when I was going to start my freshman year of high school. I wore my hair long, and I was usually wearing a tight t-shirt and tight blue jeans. What can I say, that was the style in the 70's, especially if you hung out with the party crowd.
Here is a rare version of 'Dirty Deeds done dirt cheap' with Bon Scott. I think that he had a much better voice than Brian Johnson, who was hired to take the place of Scott, after he had died. Johnson's voice has a deeper screechier sound than Scott's voice had. I like the Bon Scott version better.
I am including both versions of this song, so that you can hear the difference between the two of them, and then you can choose the version that you like better.

Is this song cool or what?

When the first Steve Miller Band album came out, me and my friends played it to death. When I heard the song Swing town, I was hooked. Later on I talked to another friend, who had went to a concert to see them, and he said that he ended up walking out. Apparently the Steve Miller Band only sounded good on the album.
I know that there are probably more bands out there that have the same problem, but they must have better sound guys to help them to compensate for this problem.

Anyways, the video that I chose is the recording from the studio and not a live performance, because when I listened to the live recording, it really did suck!

Am I the only one who liked this song when first heard?

I recently found this video on the net and I was like, "Oh wow, I haven't heard this song in a long time."
My family moved into the town of South Colton, when I was going on 12 years old. I made new friends, and we listened to a lot of records, while we were hanging out together. This is one of the records that I played a lot, because at that age, I found this song to be pretty cool sounding, and the guy's vocals sounded kind of cool too.
With that said, I hope that someone out there, will also be happy to hear this song again.
